Background
Dr. Kelly Lange, Chiropractic Physician, has been practicing in Ashland since 2004. She is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® with particular clinical focus on extremity injuries including feet, knees, shoulders, and wrists. She specializes in biomechanical and sports-related injuries and has extensive rehab, athletic training, and massage experience.
Approach and Philosophy
Dr. Lange uses a variety of techniques, ranging from traditional manual adjustments to non-force work. Her approach includes functional exercises and hands-on therapy that is tailored uniquely for each patient. She provides personalized and integrative treatment plans with the goal of helping patients keep moving and stay active. She believes athletes come in all forms, and works with people in all capacities including dealing with the physical demands of their job or their training.
Currently, Dr. Lange is the Medical Director for the Pine to Palm 100 mile endurance race that takes place from Williams to Ashland, OR. Her specialty is endurance athletes, although she enjoys working with all types of athletes. An ultrarunner herself, Dr. Lange understands the demands of training and works to keep her athletes’ training on track.
An Ashland native, Dr. Lange graduated summa cum laude from Palmer Chiropractic College after obtaining her B.A. in Biochemistry from Lewis & Clark College in Portland. She is an evidence-based practitioner, staying current with research and attending seminars on a variety of subjects. She also serves as a Presidential Advisor to the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council Executive Committee, having served as President from 2014-2016. She enjoys teaching and is available for workshop instruction on many topics from common sports injuries to ergonomics in the work place.
In her spare time, she enjoys running & strength training, reading, and spending time with her two young daughters.
